Found a new project. Ram D250

Thank you all for following this thread. I know it's not a B Body, but this is my favorite car website by far.

Next question. There is a big splice off the Pos + battery, 2 wires in, 5 fusible links out. The fusible link to the alternator is fried. Couple options: replace the fusible link with another, or add an in line fuse. Question is, how do I get the correct one? Wire size is 6ga, no idea of the amps.

I circled the two "in" wires, 6ga fusible link is what is blown.

Do you know what size the alternator is. It's most likely 75 or 90, which will determine fuse size if that's the power wire from the alternator.
 
What I like about fusible link wire is you can determine an open circuit easily the link will stretch like a rubber band if it's blown

I don't. I'll just replace it with fusible link of the same size.
