Found just down the street from my sons house!!

Congrats, you've got the Brains to know better.
Half these Dumbasses on here will just shoot anything, then post it to FaceBook, so their buddies can compare shooting techniques.
All Snakes will avoid Human contact at all cost. You'll get bit when you corner them or step on them, they will never outright attack you.
Not sure if Cottonmouths are stupid or just not afraid of people, they will go toward you as quick as go away. I was raised around them in SW Ga. Most all other snakes will leave of given the chance.
Coral snakes? The cats bring up dead ones to the house for show and tell 2-3 times a year. Here we have mainly timber rattkers, copperheads, coral snakes as far as poisionous ones. Cats are hard on snakes.

About the only snake I won't kill up here on the ridge is a black snake.
They're common sights around these parts.
They benefit us two ways - pest control obviously (they eat mice), but the other thing they're good for
is that they will not live in the same immediate area as a copperhead - in fact, they're
pretty much mortal enemies and the blackie has a good chance of winning that fight.

I have a really funny story about a black snake I'll have to retell here one day. Y'all would get a hoot
out of it. :)
I got one too about saving a snake and it involves a buddy that just happened to come by and ended up helping. Thing is, he's one that liked to kill everything lol.

This is for the guys that kill em all......is it too hard to learn whats venomous and whats not??? Anyways, small snakes will eat insects such as cockroaches and crickets, whereas larger ones will consume small animals such as mice, rats, lizards and some nonvenomous snakes go after venomous snakes. So, why would anyone kill all snakes? I don't have a venomous snake problem and it seems there's not many snakes of any kind around here but whenever I do find one in the yard, I'll move it to the back of the property. So far I've never found a venomous one but if I did, I'd probably would do away with it. There's plenty of green lizards around here and I like that aspect insects too....

Well..they do taste like chicken!
PETA! People Eating Tasty Animals! :D Hunting to eat em is totally fine with me. I have a problem with people killing keystone animals thinking they're doing favors protecting a different species....and then not even eating them.

I usually catch and move the non venomous snakes. If they show back up to poach my chicken eggs again then its curtains for them. Rattle snakes on the other hand are kill if my brothers buddy isnt available to catch. Anti venom on the dog or my boys getting bit make it a no brainer.
