Front sway bar brackets hit K Frame

I finally was able to get the car's front end aligned I was driving it around I could hear some thing hitting on the front end . I pullled into my garage and looked underneath and there witness marks where the brackets are hitting the K frame I reappointed the K frame before I installed every thing. Now What ?

We need more details Doug. OEM bar? After market? Was car originally equipped with a antisway bar? Further back photos would help too.

Mike I've had nothing but problems with the front sway bar since I bought it .This car had a oem stock sway bar. The bolts were to long for the mid section I had to buy shorter one's because the ones they sent me the second time were still to long .I had to send the 1" rear sway bar back as we speak because it didn't fit and exchange it for the 3/4" sway bar .

I think you might be able to cut the corners back more on the strut bushing brackets. And/or heat the K member area with a torch and smash it back for more clearance. As another option-the bushing bracket could be cut off at the top (down to end of bolt slot) and welded together. It should be done on the bar and then slid into operating position and bottom clamp bolt snugged up. You may never remove that bracket in your lifetime! If ever needed- buy 2 new brackets.

This is confusing. First oem bar hitting K frame. What changed from stock other than the bar? Bolts can be bought anywhere. They are not special.
Then pictures off rear bar. You have a problem there also?
Also unless you know how to re-temper spring steel I sure would not recommend heating and bending of bars.

Where was bar purchased? Type/Brand. My aftermarket bar was is a pia. First mounted upside down, told it could go on either way. Makes getting oil filter of difficult. Zirk fittings long gone, easily knocked off on parking bumpers. And I got the correct application.
To do again, would have left. The original on. Just not enough gain.

If you look at a manual the stock sway bar connects different on the strut rod than the PST.
Bolts ? I shouldn't have to buy bots when they come with the package.

This product states it will fit a 1973 Dodge Charger plain and simple. It doesn't say hey your going to need to go to a hardware store and buy different bolt and also grind on our brackets to fit your application.

The reason why I posted it in here is because James from PST monitors this and will see it . Im not going to modify a part that's supposed to fit my car.

Then complain to the product manufacture instead of coming here to resolve issues. Post #1 you talk about the oem bar. From the pictures posted I could not tell what you had.

Do you see what part of the forum I'm on did you not see the above post that I call out James from PST .

And I have called them all these issues in the past.

Wow. Lightbulb. I browse and read by thread title. Did not notice what forum this is. The Bar I described is not a PST product.

Time to EAT CROW I'm sure most guys on here wouldn't do this because your always right lol. But I found the reason why the front sway bar was hitting the K frame I think I haven't watched my GOPRO yet I video'd my suspension to see what's going on since the first video. After the first video I inspected all my work again trying to figure out why the brackets were hitting the K Frame. I installed the sway bar up side down how I didn't I catch that when I installed it I don't know. But I want to apologize on here to James and the whole PST company for voicing my complaint on here. I'm not perfect I make mistakes when I do I always make sure the person or company knows I made a mistake. I'm sorry for any stress or anger I caused.
