fuel line questions

Got a 78 Cordoba and I'm nearly finished installing a replacement 400 in it. I was looking at the fuel lines and was wondering where the smaller of the two lines went. Any type of emission stuff on this engine is long gone. I am thinking that it may have went to a charcoal canister or something like that.

There is a small line from the tank that is a vent line that went to the charcoal canister in the engine bay. You need to be careful where you terminate that one as it can be giving off vapors. Keep clear of any potential ignition source.
