Gas tank straps 1973 Dodge Charger

Can anyone tell me if the gas tank straps are the same for 73/74. I know the 74 has a different tank but will the 73 straps work?

71-3 straps are the same . 74 they are reversed with the J-bolts at the front of the tank instead of the rear like 71-3.
You can probably re-bend 71-3 straps to fit a 74 tank.

false, 73 and 74 are diff straps... 73 J bolts are attached on rear, and 74 are in front. This makes a diff straps setup

74 Mopar parts catalog shows a diff PN for it.

and by the pic, if is the actuall item, I don't think so

No, the 74 one looks pretty much the same than 71/73, BUT inverted ends, what makes a bit larger the rear end to reach the body provision and a bit shortened and bent the front end to get the J bolt
