What's the capacity for my 833 4-speed? Thanks in advance 85/90 GL-4

until it comes out at the filler hole, around 4 quarts. I've used Red Line 75W90NS great oil, the transmission was very smooth shifting going through the gears

Actual fill quantity is listed in the factory service manual. It will hold that specified amount and will not run out the fill hole.

manual states the correct level is at the bottom of the filler plug. It says 7.5 pints which is equal 3.5-4 quarts

I just gave it the extra 1/2 pint and put in the whole gallon, some of which will leak out as you try to install the plug anyway.

I found the 85/90 too thick and cause a gear clash. Swapped it out with Penzoil Synchromesh and she shifts like butter.
