H pipe question?

same car, 69 superbee has headers i ordered doug's cutouts.
should i put an H on it?
and if so should it go before or after cutouts

An H or X pipe should be pretty close to the headers.....

I would go with the H pipe.

H or X pipe usually have to go under the trans extensiion or tailstock. Otherwise they're too low !! Cut-outs (if you really must !!) can be anywhere forward of the mufflers - since the only purpose they serve is to be a public nuisance !!

I think open headers sound better than cutouts....but, even with straights, rather have them all the way to the rear.

just looking for the cool factor
and was wondering if i needed the H for performance.
and where it should go?
but having a switch to open and close exhaust is pretty great.
when i go by a cop i just push in clutch and hit the switch

Probably why I haven't got a ticket either but it surprised me when I did a 'small' burn out with a cop near by (just didn't see him) and my car had 'a' straight on it. Hot rod /6 with 3.91's and a stick lol. Slant 6's are not exactly quiet when the revs go above 3k and sound even worse on decel!

Maybe the cops realize we are getting senile and no longer understand the laws! Been waiting for this age for 76 years now!!!!!
