Looking for some help. trying to diagnose problem starting 1967 plymouth 440 hp... with vapor lock....going to try a 1" spacer.which one ? open or ported phenolic. Thanks

Some carbs have a bowl vent valve to prevent the expanding fuel from pushing into the manifold and causing a flooded start after sitting when hot.The spacer I would match the manifold opening.

Wile working on a heat-soak problem, a friend put a 1" phenolic spacer w/hardware from Summit. He used the one with the 4 holes to improve the vacuum signal to the carbs. They also have one with 1 big hole. Mine is a dual plane.

Hot restart problems are characteristic to BB's. Think Mr.Angry. We also rerouted some fuel lines and plan to have a drip line back to the tank. The driveablility problems ar in Reno at 5 thousand feet, 95 degrees. Car runs well a sea level mild conditions. Good luck.

He is JBC426 @ Moparts.
