Have a question for those that have swapped a 440 into a 66 charger?

What exhaust setup did you use? Is there a lot of difference for n the clearance from a 383 which it had originally?. The 440 has manifold on it currently. Anyone know if this will work? Thanks

Should work, if you go with a H pipe you will have to furnish casting numbers for the manifolds to get them correct for the car. The exhaust you pictured may not have the correct flange angles for the manifolds on your 440 engine.

Mine fits fine
I used Doug's Headers and they fit like a glove
Power steering & Manual Brakes
The only thing is with the Torker II intake I have
I don't have a lot of clearance room for the air cleaner

Did this from a 361 to a 440. If the pipes are close to begin with they may be pulled upward into the tranny crossmember. Note that the 440 is wider and higher, about 1/2" per side for each. Fixed it by using 1/2" thick exhaust flanges with gaskets on top and bottom as a spacer.

See if this supplier has a system for 1967 Charger with 440. They were an option in 1967, but not available in 1966 Charger. Factory 440 manifolds were different than 383 pieces. I think 1967 RH manifold was different than other years, because of angle of exhaust flange.

I ordered full exhaust from TTI. I gave them the exhaust manifold numbers and the whole set fit correctly.

Nope
Top down
I laid the headers inside the inner fenders and slid the engine down from the top
you can see the wire tie holding the header in place
