Headrests resto, what are your experiences?

I will be using a split bench with headrests out of a `70 Road Runner for my `68 ("JUNKYARD DOG") Road Runner. It has the headrests with the chrome band. Just about to order the upholstery from Legendary and wonder what I should do about the headrests. I know Legendary sells them and then there is the "Not Just Headrests" advertisement in the Collector's guide. Who have you used to restore yours or should I just pop for the new ones from Legendary?. The vinyl on mine is dry and split in several places.

I may be wrong but i think BEA and PG has them and i think much less money.

I bought Legendary seat covers and door panels for my '68 GTX. I sent them my headrests thinking they would restore them to match their seat covers. Wrong! When I got them back, the green headrests were darker than the seat covers they supplied.
