Heat shield for Spark plugs on drivers side

One final question for anyone that have some answers here. The attached heat shield is for the drivers side and wanting to make sure it's a natural finish as shown or is it painted with some heat resistant paint?

Any help here would be great.

If they are held on by the head bolts they are painted with the block.

Is this on your 1970 B-body? If so that shield is passenger side only. It depends on the exhaust manifold.
