how can replacing a rebuilt heater box in a 62 dart cause the damn motor from runnung?
I'm about fed up with this damn car. It's all new. Everytime I try and do something on it now matter how small it turns into a big cluster ****. I'mm trade it for the best 64 Dodge.

make sure you push the defrost button when you turn on the blower I made the same mistake on my 63 it won't work until you do that

thanks I've done that. It starts but will not keep running. It ran fine befor changing the box??????????????

Are you referring to the engine not running? Check the ballast resister connections, you may have bumped the wiring while working on the heater box firewall bolts.
Mike

It starts ok, but will not keep running.I looked to see if it was getting gas and it is. Nothing looks out of place in the eng conpartment or under the dash.

Is it dying when you let off the key after starting? If it is...its the ballast resistor on the firewall. Never go anywhere without one in the glovebox and the tools to change it. It's a Mopar thing....

I put the remote starter to it and it fired up and keep running. So I tyhink your right,
Thanks

It's not ur ballast, has to be ign.sw. or wiring from it. Remote starting wouldn't leave the ballast out of the circuit.

that was the starting solenoid I hooked the remote starter to.....

I was kinda wrong but it still sounds like switch or wiring coming out of ign.sw.One contact is for "crank" and the other is for "run". "Crank" is a full 12volts and then thru ballast to distributor&coil with a reduced voltage. Hope this helps.
