Greetings;
I haven't been around here but I picked up a 1962 Dodge Dart 4-door hardtop last weekend. My brother and I will be building this for him. Originally it was a 318 car with a 727 cable shift. The plan is a 413 with a ford T-10 transmission. We are shooting to get it done by Christmas but that may slip.

If you do much hopup to that engine, it will eat that t10 for lunch.

Welcome to the site .would love to see some pictures. Why a t-10 may I ask as stated above there about useless there good for a driver but any kind of h.p. in front of it and it won't last I had a trans am with a bit over 400hp to the wheel s the trans worked for a little bit then one day it let loose I switched it for a m22 .
Why not stay mopar in it the 833 is a very strong trans it can take a beating. Good luck ether way

T-10 was a good deal and this is going to be a driver. I will be looking at a MILD low end cam and probably a 650-700 carb. The car is already light and we will be on 245-60-15's in back more than likely. If my brother decides to start racing he will definitely need an upgrade. It should stand up for daily driving though. The biggest problem will be not smoking the tires all the time.
