My name is Daniel and I'd like to say a big HELLO to all of you here at FBBO! I am grateful to be able to join the group. I've been a Mopar fan for around 20 years now. In the past few years, I have had the privilege of owning a couple A-bodies as well as a couple C-bodies. I have since sold all of my cars, save for one, my beautiful 1966 Belvedere II. I have always loved the look of these awesome cars. To me, ’66-’67 B-bodies are the very image of Mopar style and sophistication, A gentleman’s muscle car. I personally love the ’66 Belvedere II because of the trim going down the middle of the body. It just gives the car that special touch. Below is my car. It was originally a California car before ending up in NC, which is where I bought it from. I have owned it for close to a year now. It was sold new with a 318 poly but now has a '68 318 LA in it. I'm not sure if it was a warranty replacement or what. All I know is it runs like a sowing machine, and I enjoy driving it all the time. I'm going to have to get back to everyone with interior/engine pics. I don't have any at this time. It has factory ac, though not hooked up at the moment, and tan interior (cloth bench). Btw, I am currently saving my duckies for a set of magnum 500 wheels. The cragers that's on it are ok but not my jam.
How about that... I used to live over in the Gaston area in a little old neighborhood off Gator road for about 10 years. Maybe we'll see each other around sometime? I usually bring the car out to any local shows, like in Pelion or Fairview, etc. These people around here are not big fans of mopars though. Well, not unless you have the popular ones like 68-70 B-bodies. Not that I go for this reason, but I never place. The judges are too busy giving props to modern cars and old Chevy's. Btw, I think we might have met about a year or so ago. I lived in Pelion and had a Sublime green 73 Dart Sport 340. Not sure if it was you who stopped by the house that day?
Welcome to FBBO from Ontario. You have a very good looking Belvie II. I am partial to '66-'67 B-bodies as well as owner of a 1967 R/T.
Wow, kick butt Roadrunner! I came out briefly as a spectator to that car show (at the Nazarene church). I didn't bring my car and when I got there and saw yours, I regretted not showing it. Next time we'll have to see about parking next to each other if you'd like.
Heck yeah , that would be great. Wasn’t you working on a C body last time I seen you ? I can’t remember to save my life.
Thank you Sir! I love me some '67 R/T. Those are my favorite Coronet model. Such wonderful detail tastefully done.
I sure was. That was a '70 Chrysler 300, console car. I sold it to buy this car. I sure have missed that car! Can't say that I regret letting it go though. I've been wanting a belvedere II for a long time.
