So I have a 5.7 hemi and transmission from a 07 pick up that I'm trying to put in my 73 satellite. I got new mounts from TTI, and filter block plates. I know I need a different oil pan and a smaller power brake booster to make the engine fit, but what about the transmission? I've read that you have to cut the transmission tunnel and build it up, but I really have no clue about how to do this. Is it pretty complicated? what about the crossmember and mounts? also, not sure about the fuel delivery system. Can I keep my same tank and pump or do I need to switch to something else. any advice would be greatly appreciated.

thanks for the info! yours looks very nice!!! I'm sure I'll have some more questions later. hung up on that $400 oil pan right now. one thing though, you have any problems with the install of those headers? I was looking at those today.

Headers dropped in and bolted right up, no problems of any kind. Check ebay for the oil pan and pick up tube from milodon, can behad for 350 ish if ya look around.

The mildon is quite a bit cheaper. ~$200 for the pan and $75 for the pickup and should work with the stock dipstick.

Read around, lots of info on here to get you started as well as the abodies site. But the swaps are not super complicated. If you run a carb you still need a pump since the late model hemi has no provisions for a mechanical.
