Help with a question

Here is another question I have for my buds 69 RR. On the rear end near the brake lights, is there some type of gasket or sealer to seal the brake light housings to the quarter? Just to be clear, not talking about the brake light housing but how the housing itself mounts (closeout) to the 1/4 . I hope I'm clear because not exactly sure what to call that housing.

The tail light should have a foam gasket in there. The quarter extention should be no gasket or a very lite beed of caulking.
