Does anyone have the flow numbers for an ootb stage V big valve head. And replacement stage v head. And edelbrock victor hemi head?? Cannot find the info anywhere.
Wow damn there are alot on that site. Main one im looking for is the stage v custom head with the big valve 2.42 intake with kicked ex valve 1.90. Ootb numbers
Yeah it lists the same head with either a 2.25 intake with 1.90 exhaust valve. Or you can get the 2.42 int with 1.90 exhaust. Raised or standard ex port. But there un ported. So yes. I just wanted to see what the flow numbers were without port work.
Yep... Victors same/same on mine, maybe a few less. I haven't seen the Stage V Big Valve/Kicked Exh yet.
With the bigger intake valve those heads have, I flowed it on a 4.500 to make sure the flow wasn’t impeded by the lack of a bore notch. Plus....... they were going on a 4.500” bore 540.
I’ve only ever had a couple of stage V heads here. The stock replacement castings “ootb” are pretty unfinished, and require a bit of work to make them even usable...... so there would never really be an “ootb” flow number. The seats come blank, so any valid flow test is going require a valve job be done...... which then becomes part of the results. I suppose if stage V sells the castings “prepped” or finished....... I guess that would be their “ootb”.
Well that makes sense as to why i could never find the info on them. If you were building a 800ish 572 cu in hemi , which heads would you go with?.
800hp is 1.4 hp/cube. A set of the Edelbrock Victors and a nice solid roller should easily get it there.
Oh thats perfect. Im not real sure what the hold up is on those victors. I emailed edelbrock twice now in 2 weeks and didnt get any reply yet.
I don’t think they’ve been available for quite a while. Other heads can get the job done, those are just the best bang for the buck.
Any idea if that‘s due to Edelbrock’s relocation or just the current supply chain issues plaguing the world?
