Hemi scoop

I am adding a Hemi fiberglass scoop to my '64 Belvedere. I am trying to decide if I want the peak on front of hood where ornament and sphere were removed for a clean look or just leave it. Has anyone removed that on a '64?

I am adding to mine as my scoop is made from another 65 hood skin, and I'm adding a custom hood ornament (nested copper tube that I had chromed-photo makes chrome look spotted, it's not). To each his own.
