    Evening guys and gals.

Been looking forward to signing up on this site for a while now. I am the recent new and proud owner of a 1969 coronet 440 non-post car. I purchased it within the last couple of months and have been planning all the fun directions I want to take the car. It was a one family owned car. Grandfather purchased new after trading in a dart for it, father drove the car, mother drove to work, and finally son drove. I purchased from son and promissed him to give this thing a new life. Will try to get pics up soon, the ones I have were to large to load. the car is in amazing condition. 59k original, two-tone dark green with light green (non vinyl) roof. 383/auto on the column car. bench seat, Green interior (Grandfather must have loved green), minimal rust (just trunk floor), car is amazingly straight for the age, two build sheets, full documentation, owners manual, service records, car is a time capsule! Sorry for rambling, just proud and excited to start on this car, as this is my first muscle car. I looked for over a year in the northwest before finding a car that wasn't rotted. Thanks for having me here, and y'all have a good night! Erik

    color change

    goose69

Always lookin to make new mopar contacts! I was just at the Mopar Nationals last weekend. I have never seen that many Classic Hemis in one place. Fun show and go. As far as the color, not a huge fan of the green. I am thinking of B7 blue with silver bumble bee stripes around the tail. I also plan on turning it in to a bucket seat (probably summit racing buckets), and black interior. I am going for a resto-mod direction with it. Right now thinkin manual valve body 727 on the floor, detroit/eaton true-track, 440 heads on the 383 and a smile every time a step on the go fast pedal! I really like the sublime green, vit-c, and of course plum crazy, but think B7 bahama blue is a darn good color.

That blue is a nice color. Don't think I've ever seen a B-7 with a silver stripe, sounds like a cool combo tho.
I also like the wild colors they used. I had a vit-c duster, a panther pink 'Cuda and a plum crazy 'Cuda. A buddy of mine painted his '69 Coronet sublime green with a black stripe years ago and it looked awesome! I was going to paint my '69 Roadrunner sublime green, even bought the single stage PPG paint to do it and then changed my mind. Not sure what I'll ever use the paint for now.
By the way, which 440 heads were you refering to? I have a few sets lying around here. And the resto mod is a cool way to go to.
Hope you have fun with it, shoot me a line if you need/want anything.

    sublime

    goose69,

Im tempted to ask if that single stage sublime is for sale, but don't know how long automotive paint is good for in a can. I was thinking of 452s or 906s, but still studying the differences and pluses of one head over the other. I may save up for some aluminum 440 source heads. nice way to spend a grand. lol
