how do you measure the radiator

I'm confused, I have a 66 Satellite 318ci, most info I see regarding the radiator refer to a 22" type. I've measured mine it appears to be 26". Maybe I'm measuring wrong. Do you measure from the extreme outside edges...please help.....by the way the stamped code on the radiator is 2582944, Thanks

You only measure the inside of the rad...The fins only,don't measure the tanks or brackets.

Thanks for the info, I'm curious if my 26" is original or was changed from 22" since most after market shrouds mention 22' radiators on the small block 318 engine

Most 318 with AC cars had 26s

If it's a "round top" it's a 22". If it's a "square top" (yes, I'm discounting the possibility of a 70 up 22" which are square) then it's a 26"
