How happy are you?

Very few that have dodged a couple of bullets in this world get to end up as happy as you are right now, soak it up!! You both did good!!

From us to you/yours, Have a Happy life!!

We're pretty darn happy.

Considering-

A- where we came from
B- the trouble and strife along the way
C- how insane the world is today
D- how poorly others in similar situations as ours seem to do

We are happy. Life takes us down many paths. In my case I was homeless, living on the street twice. Addicted. Living in the bush with no power or water but a dog and a AR-15. Had two serious nervous breakdowns. Started getting my **** together in my mid thirties. Met current wife at that time, together 31 years now. Always worked, saved some money. We are far from rich but we are blessed, which I think is better. Wife survived stage three cancer and been clear since 2018. We have a modest place in Mexico. We have amazing friends, not lots of friends.
My only regret is that now at age 65 the finish line is much closer than the starting line. Since wife’s diagnosis we are determined to lead a good, full, grateful life. Some people get up, go to work, have supper and go to sleep. Repeat endlessly. That is not us. We are happy.

You are awesome. She is awesome. And you are two beautiful people.

I'm really happy. My wife is my best friend. We celebrate being married 50 years in 5 months. She helps me with my cars when it's needed. She likes doing the interiors which I don't. She does all the maintenance on her Jeep, her truck and her ski boat. We travel quite a bit. If I choose not to go on a trip (Europe), she gets her sister to go. All is great.

Yep.
Wife is best friend.
Hard to beat that.
I really don't get people that have to hide car parts from their wives, or lie about what they spend.
BTW she is a great brake bleeding partner, and can flat tow either as puller or pullee.

My wife has a hard time backing up even with a backup camera lol. The driveway at her house can hold 3 small cars but one bigger pickup and my SWB reg cab Dakota fills it. My driveway is 114' long but she is getting better at backing up and using the mirrors along with the camera.

From the last "wife" thread in 2021, so not terribly old pic.
She did let her hair go "natural" since then and now people ask where she gets it done.
It's "gray/bronze" over dark, dark red. Does look like she pays someone to make it that way.

Brake bleeder, RPM holder, car push assistant, flat tow puller (or braker), and one of my favorites- bacon chef.

Also owns her own air compressor, vacuum pump (which I'm currently borrowing for AC work), nail gun, compound, sliding miter saw, etc.

Can drive a manual trans and frequently chirps second.

Has her motorcycle endorsement.

Owns her own, profitable business.

Insisted we hang guitars on our living room wall.

(I think I'm falling in LOVE...again)

My wife can drive a stick too. Passed her driver's license test with one and when the cop mentioned that she handled a stick like she had been driving for years. She said that she almost admitted she had been lol. And she would be fine with me hanging guitars too but don't have any anymore.

She also had her real estate license until the market went someone flat last time (now?) and decided to not renew it. Her first husband started working for Pasadena Honda while he was still in high school and stayed with it until he retired.

She said lots of bikes were always around but never really learned how to ride but was an excellent passenger and her son and daughter grew up in the BMX world. You should here some of the stories about her and her cousin stealing the family car back in the mid 60's. Her cousin is older and was a bad influence lol
