How to crimp clamp in tight space.

I am using the clamps that crimp. The problem is the vent hose on my '67 belvedere is impossible to get the crimping tool to work, because it is too tight of a space. Is there any type of cable crimper that is available, or will I have to drop the fuel tank ?

I just use a pair of dull side cutters..

I used some end nippers, they were sharp but that clamp doesn't need to be very tight.
