I've decided to go with a 5.7 or 6.4 on my Coronet sedan. I know the car sits too low to go really wide. And jacking it up to clear isn't an option. I don't think it would look right on the sedan. Obviously the reason for doing this is traction. I need more rubber with the engine upgrade. I don't want to do a mini-tub. So I guess I need to know what combo are you sedan guys running? I'm currently running 235/60/15

With a 15x8 wheel and 5 inch backspace, you should be able to get a 275/60/15 tire in there.

You can fit 295/50/15's under that car with the correct backspaced rims.

I have 275/60-15 on 15X10 wheels with the 5 something inch backspace. Fit great.

Did 295/50/15 BFG on a 15x10 (5.5 BS) Wheel Vintiques series 63 steel wheel on a 69 Coronet Super Bee. These beasts seem to have more a little room for big meats than Plymouth Road Runners do. Could just be my perception though.

Those 315’s are sweet. To the original poster, there are a few steps to get to your goal. First would be wheel size. Modern 17”, 18” or old 15”? It looks like you have decided but just throwing it out as this choice now drives the rubber available or lack there of. At 15” you have BFG and Coopers and then I think 275 or 295 at the top end. Does a spare matter? If so, and you have a sure grip, then the spare must match the rear tire height to not kill the rear end. Will that spare fit the front? I went 28” total height front/rear and not staggered just for this reason. Now, my car is a daily driver so this changes some of the roadside concerns.

Those 315s look AMAZING!!! I was happy to see the 295s might be an option. But 315.....oh yeah....if they'll fit, I'll be going with those!!

In the back of my mind I was thinking about the spare. So I'll have to take that into consideration. Might have to rethink putting a pair of 15" subs in the trunk....just kidding. Thanks for the reminder.

295/50-15 is about 26.5-26.6 tall... Plenty of mini spares in that range.... Probably a late model Mustang spare...
