So I was minding my own business when my bodyguy said, "I found you a Charger!" Woe is me!
Here are some pictures to date. Brought the car home last June. The chassis arrived last week from the Roadster Shop, the Gen3 392 is on order and I picked up a 8HP80 as well.
Now the fun begins

I've seen 2 "rolling chassis" now in one day, more than I've seen in a year.
Really top notch, but $18K plus...

Slightly confused here....
Is that frame designed to sit under the existing unibody of the Charger or ....?

The engine arrived today, gen3 6.4L 392 SCAT pack SXT variant. Going to convert it for the 8HP70 this week, mate the engine and transmission and set it in the chassis and see what what.
Just consider the chassis the ultimate subframe connector!

No turning back, the rear frame rails and the core support have been removed and the floor pan comes out this week.

The body was mated to the chassis today. Tomorrow the engine/trans will be loaded onto the motor mounts

That's my kind of build!! Can't wait to see it come together.

That is amazing work!!! I cannot imagine the time that goes into a build such as that. I'm very jealous, going to be a sweet ride for sure!

Really nice! More info on that 8HP70 transmission please.
Is the car going to keep the drive-by-wire throttle body?
Just looked up the transmission. around 5:1 first gear ratio!
How is the transmission controlled? Factory ECU?

The 8HP70 is found in the late model chargers, challengers, BMW's,Mercedes, and others. Johnnny Mac gave me the idea and from everything I've read it's bullet proof. The engine and transmission are electronically controlled. I'm going to use a modified factory MOPAR shifter and stock ECU.
