Here's the fender tag as it appears top to bottom.

I have some but not all codes figured out. It looks really original (Very Dirty.) Definitely an original 383 2bbl.

Good buy, it looked very worthy. A 383-2bbl in that car comes with 318 torsion bars so it won’t corner very well as it is. Just an FYI.

On the tag D25 is probably J25, and the build plant is a G not a C.

Congratulations!

You're right on both corrections I missed one code on the top line, far right. I think it's V5X

Nice, I look forward to seeing it cleaned up.

Cool car,good score. A 70 Coronet R/T or Super Bee has always been on my wish list. I had a 69 A12 Bee and a 69 Coronet R/T,but not a 70.

This is what I like about this site, opinions asked for and pictures shown, opinions are given, car in garage, done.

Damn I like that body style!

Cool. What are your plans for it? Keep it all original or make a hot rod out of it? That would be a perfect car to build any way you want.

I'd check a different decoder.

All those codes can't be "top color".

Cool car, I think you did well. Hard to find complete cars these days that aren't rusted to heck. That would be a neat car to restore as new I think. Cool any way you do it though.

All I did was put in the numbers and letters he listed. If he didn't read it right, it will decode wrong. I thought that was odd as well.

A04 and A06 are 'Packages' likely related to the 500 trim. I don't have a book here at work but can look them up tonight.

Congrats on getting the car! Waiting on a 68-70 to fall into my lap like that!

A codes are usually "accessories", (or packages as pointed out above) and I bet the D25 is not a D.

Codes are usually in alphabetical order left to right bottom to top row, with the exception of the top color code .
