Identify that car thread!

Reminds me of a DAF. 1964-'65. Had another name too, a flower I think. Cant recall...
You're on it! This one is a '62 Daf, short for Daffodil.

It had a opposing, air cooled, two cylinder, up front. Looked like a half of a VW engine. The distributor was a VW distributor with a cap that only used two wires.

No clutch. Direct driveshaft bolted to the flywheel that turned a gearbox at the rear. It used variable speed pulleys like on a snowmobile, that was controlled by a leaver next to the seat, to go slower or faster.

Manufactured in the Netherlands from '61-'67

You don't see them everyday, especially in the US. There are a couple of YouTube videos on them.
 
I did NOT know they came from the Netherlands. DAF.....Daffodil.....even I should have saw that. lol. I saw one in West Germany back in 1976.
