Don't know why, but I would have guessed late 50s mercury.

Their headlight body works are very similar. They are mistaken for each other often. It's almost as if all of the main manufacturers just adopted that style for a couple of years.

Correct! Although they were only on the Aussie Falcons with the 200HP engine in 1964-65.

1964 Cortina ! Good job. The top one is the UK Lotus version and the bottom one is the USA version for 65.
