Ignition Wire Suggestions? (that won't pop off plugs)

I've got a 440 with headers using an old MSD-6A and MSD Blaster coil. My wires are MSD Heli-Core 8mm and I've added 2-3 Direct Connection "90-deg. angle" plug ends.... those work GREAT by the way where you have header clearance issues.

My problem is that the wires pop off the plugs on a regular basis. I hear a missfire and have to pull over all the time to reconnect whatever plug wire came loose. It seems like the plug boots were designed for the narrower ford/chevy plugs (5/8" socket to install with narrower plug bodies) and my best guess is that the "fat" (13/16") Mopar plugs are just too big for the boots to stay secure on.

I don't mind cutting my own wires (not a bad idea with headers anyway). Any suggestions for 8mm, carbon core, custom cut wires? I don't want to spend a fortune if I don't have to either.

THANK YOU!

I've had consistent good success with Magnecor wires. In addition to the many variants they list in their cattledog, they're happy to make up whatever custom wires (special lengths, special boots, etc.) you want if you call and specify.

I used/use the type that bend and shape the position needed on My small and big block...msd ignition also
