Yeah, these tops are expensive as hell but it's going to look so cool on a limelight GTX! I got it from Legendary and the quality looks great! I'm a flooring installer so I've glued down hundreds of vinyls, just never on top of a car before. Pretty sure I can get it right but any tips are appreciated!

I don't see the matching pimp hat and cane in the picture, you must be wearing it? Im not even a fan of vinyl tops, but that is going to look awesome. Nice choice.

Of course I will! I have to sand and buff the seam areas first so it'll be a bit. But, I'm happy as he'll it's here!

Just did my 69. There is a legendary YouTube tutorial you can see. Only thing I had issues with was when spraying, try not to spray too much, as it gums up and becomes little glue balls I used the 3m spray can from classic industries They say to let the glue dry some and become tacky in order to be able to pull off and put back down. Not sure if mine wasn’t dry enough or if I sprayed too much. But that’s how I got those little glue balls. Fortunately it was only after doing the center strip, so I was able to pull it all off (the vinyl top). Then I had to clean and scrub the glue off best I could from both the car and the vinyl. Went on better the second time. Didn’t want to pony up the $700 the upholstery shop wanted to charge. Good luck.

I finally got the top glued down and I couldn't be happier with the results! Sanded the top and sprayed on 4 cans of 3M Super Trim Adhesive. Center first, then out to the seam, then the rest.

A couple areas fought a bit but I got it all smooth and flat. On both sides the area right above the rear corner of the window wanted to bubble up. I walked back and forth for a couple hours pressing those areas down. The next day they were still a little wrinkly. So, I grabbed a hair dryer, wrapped a foot long 2x4 in a shop towel and went to work. I heated the area up and rocked the 2x4 over the areas. Worked like a charm! I also put a magnet on a couple other spots. Got that idea the second day...

A few more shots. One shows the brown in these tops. In person it looks really close to black.
