install electric fuel pump

I am installing an electric fuel pump and deleting the mechanical pump. When I remove the mechanical pump and install a block off plate is it okay to leave the push rod it place?

Yep, leave it there so the next guy can put a $32 mechanical pump back in place and not need to worry were the push rod went.

I left mine in place because I was afraid of cracking or stripping the head plug in the block. It wouldn't budge so I left it. No issues.

I always took them out, one more un-needed part.
