Can you install new floors in a car with the drive train still in the car? Just curious

Yes you can just be careful when drilling spot welds on the passenger side just inside the door jamb. On the frame rail is the fuel line. On the driver side is the rear brake line. But should be easy enough to avoid hitting.

Buy about 3 of these and a center punch and you will be on your way. The hardest floor pan spot welds to get to are the ones up front at the pinch weld for the firewall. They are not exposed from inside the car and would have to be done from under the car, well depending on how bad your pans are.. If they are rotted out with huge holes you can do it from inside the car. This is the trunk area but you will end up with something like this..

Yes you can, that being said, if you are installing a complete floor pan the seam where the firewall meets the floor is challenging. I did my 68 coronet full floor pan with drivetrain still in.
