Interesting Coronet radio on Feebay

Automatic Radio made 'look alike' radios for the big three. Not bad radios, but far from DELCO quality. Back in the day the DELCO radios really were the best car radios. Chrysler used Bendix and Motorola for radios until both got out of the business and Chrysler brought car radios in house (Huntsville).
AudioVox came in and put Automatic Radio out of business in the late 1970s with their look alike radios (which were almost pure junk).
I have often wondered why the world is not flooded with Automatic Radios in classic cars as when I was in that business in the late 1970s our work benches were loaded with Automatic Radios from various big three cars.

Nice radio, but a bit pricey for an AM only radio. In that price range you could find AM/FM radios that show up on E bay all the time.
