“Can be driven and enjoyed just like it is or easily converted to an even more rare Superbird”.
Nice car, but this quote makes me uneasy.

Dumb asses are allowed to own cars too. I wouldn't worry about that. Just look at it in person before bidding.

I'd wager a fairly large sum the seller meant "Super Bee".

I like the Bench Seat & manual transmission. Not sure Id like fact that its a 3 speed.
Any guesses on the differential?

Im more concerned that he thinks cloning it into a Superbird or Super Bee makes it “More rare”.

"Ultimate barn find" makes me want to punch baby kittens.

Nice looking car though. I don't know what clean example of a Coronet 440 goes for, does $32.5k seem a bit optimistic?

99.9% sure it will have an 8-3/4"
Open or sure-grip?
My guess is open 3.23

I think theyre hoping the 1 of 1, 383 3 speed manual combination will add a premium.
I dont think so though, nice car but Im thinking 17k tops.

I had a 70 Coronet 440, it was a 383 auto car and the rear was a 8 1/4 open with 2:45 gears.
Somewhere lost in my house is the fender tag and build sheet.

Was it a 2 barrel car?

"later" B body cars got 8 1/4 axles with 2 barrel big blocks.

Maybe the fact that this car is a manual means that it got a sure grip.
Who knows, these minor trivial options I find fascinating

Yes, you are correct, it was. I didn’t think of that.

not always
I have a 70 383 4 speed runner that came with a 323 open 8 3/4
and its on the tag..
it would tell you on the buidsheet he has in the pics

I've actually seen a LOT of cars with open rear ends that you would think would have come with limited slip.

Including manual trans R/T cars and other "factory HP" cars.

Sure Grip was not standard equipment on all "performance" cars.

the actual quote in the ad is: Can be driven and enjoyed just like it is or easily converted to a less rare Super Bee. This car is special and will not disappoint even a true mopar collector.

The ebay ad includes the original order form and build sheet. Order form states '383 4bbl $137.55'
