I have an all Citron Gold 66 Charger. The interior has multiple shades of green. Does anyone know of a resource that sells the dark green trunk panel paint (plastic cover for tail lights and cardboard inserts) --- or, the light green side panels in the rear (the trim that surrounds the headliner and rear window are the same color)? Also, the door panels are a gold color -- any leads?

Did you try Classic Industries or Year One?

I have the same color combo. What color is the body. I read that in 66 the gold color was more of a green. I'm re-painting mine and its hard to tell.

I can tell you from my original paint it was more green with a gold hue in light. In shade or dusk it looks green. The original paint in the engine compartment, door jams, and trunk lid told the tale. I had my painter mix the paint to match the original. https://www.forbbodiesonly.com/mopa...t-zz1-citron-gold-is-it-gold-or-green.175562/

Thanks for you help. I'm going with the Citron Gold, blends well with the interior. Nice Charger. Did you have to do a lot of bodywork to get it so straight? Someday soon mine will look the same way. Nice job!

I didn't need a lot of body work. I spent two weeks block sanding the whole car. I found a lot of imperfections from the factory. Once those were sanded down or filled it really made a difference on how straight it looked.

I just finished shooting a car in single stage acrylic urethane.
Not my first painting by any means and pretty good.
But I always wonder what the original paint looked like when it was new.
I was there when the cars were new, but didn't have the eye I have now.
What was their method, did they buff it after spraying?

I'm not sure how the factory did it. My paint is base coat clear coat, will be wet sanded and polished. It is definitely too smooth and shiny to approximate the factory look.
