Greetings,
I am a relatively new to this forum and B Bodies in general.
I recently purchased a finished (paint and body) 69 Charger shell
without suspension or drivetrain. I was hoping to ask for some
advice from others concerning a couple things:
1. I have decided on a tubular K front end from MF, RMD or Gest.
Can anyone give me some feedback on the 2" drop spindles?
Appearance? Bump steer? I come from a strong road racing
background and this car may see a track day or two. I would
not drag race it. I plan on 18" wheels.
2. Rear end; I don't plan on having more than a 500 hp Gen III
Hemi with a 5 or 6 speed Tremec. I understand the 8 3/4 (742),
Ford 9 inch and Dana 60 are all options. I understand the last 2
would probably be overkill for a non-drag car? I also
don't mind keeping the weight down. I would be installing
a 4 link kit as well...vendor unknown at this time.
I appreciate the time...the last 'muscle cars' I owned were
Firebirds 25 years ago and I have been out of the loop for a
while. The search function is invaluable and it did get me far
enough to ask the questions above.
