Is this normal for new tie rods?

In relation to a thread I made regarding my idler arm, I also ordered new Moog tie rod ends (es319L and R) and sleeves (es319S).
I understand these parts are probably straight from China, but I just cruise around in the car and don't really need anything fancy or overpriced.
But, shouldn't they be more consistent than this? On one sleeve, the outer tie rod end will not thread in all the way. With the other sleeve, the inner tie rod will not thread in all the way. As you can see in the picture, neither will thread in far enough to be the same length as my shorter tie rod.
While my car did drive straight, the steering wheel was not centered. I'm hoping that by centering the steering wheel to the alignment, these tie rods will work. I am concerned that neither of them will be as short as I need for the one side.

Advice?

They must not be threaded (The Sleeve) completely when the were made.
I'd run a tap thru the offensive end or find a shop that can. Gotta love Chnia-esem.
Alignment centering may help if your luck is good.

It may be one or more optical illusions but-

Pic 2 looks like the threaded shaft on the new part is larger and

...it looks like it might be cross-threaded by the angle of the end to the sleeve.

I just carefully measure between the Zerk fittings.

It's odd that one pair has virtually no exposed threads and the other appears to be like an 1" longer?
That is really weird??

So two options, if you already have and will retain "adequate" thread engagement, tap deeper or whack off slightly the end of the tie rod needed to allow for shorter Ctr to Ctr TR adjustment?

You're going to have a hard time finding a left hand tap that size I would imagine...

Agree- at least test them.

Compared to the old ones, how long is the threaded part?
Are the sleeves you're using aftermarket? Left handed thread in the sleeve not tapped deep enough?

Waiting to see pic of-

old ends in new sleeves
