just a little off the back and sides please

I'm back........ I was starting to think I'd never get my mojo back..... I was 40 years over due for a vacation anyway

picking up where I left off, I had a lot of details to finish underneath....... so I bashed my hands up a few more rounds..... they are no longer soft and pretty

some of the pics may not look much different, which pisses me off actually.....

working my way out from the under side; I had unfinished business in the trunk and a somewhat banged up tail light panel...... ground and finished some more welds...... beat the crap out of the lower tie bar and straightened that up

it's time to bury everything in primer and start working toward paint....... I cannot look at the bottom of this car any more

We all feel the pain. I've had to resort to decaf tea :elmer:and hot chocolate on bad mornings :gay:

WOW Marks alive and out of the house. Welcome to B Bodies only. :poke:

harvested a handful of brackets and stuff not included on the new Challenger metal..... everything cleaned and prepped

the 2 pieces on the far left belong to The Pumpkin, I'm just diving back into it.

Haven't seen the shop foreman recently Mark. I hope he is still keeping an eye on you.

hasn't been above freezing here for ever; a lot of teens and single digits..... Rebel's been spending a lot of time with Mom, but spring is right around the corner

My body work is awful. That is about all I can say.
For clarity, I am referring to the type of work I do.

on the bright side, you didn't get sucked into doing it for a living :blah::blah::blah:
No, but I did know a couple of guys that did.
Terry Furness in Tauranga patched the few pin holes on my 37 Ford doors. I worked next door to Awa Chapman, another panelbeater. On my van the long piece at the bottom between the wheels is new. A metal shop bent it for me, and a welder guy stuck it on. I spread the filler. The filler is a bit wavey.
I painted on red oxide with a brush, on the rusty bits, and then painted over the red oxide with a colour that was a close match. Still with a brush. Some day we will get it painted properly. But it is original.

coldest winter ever......

but march 11, 1 AM.....doors open, 60+ degrees.....go figure

I'm ready to start painting things.........

foreman doing foreman stuff

Don't get used to the warm weather too quickly - it's gonna get really cold and potentially even snow a little bit (no accumulation though) :BangHead:

For a past project done by @eldubb440 ...
We got the car out and drove it around a bit - cool! (I have videos, but no YouTube account, so you'll have to make car noises on your own! :p )

Anyway, we also took some photos of the car so it can be formally registered. It looks great out in the sun!

We also temporarily stuck an unrestored grill and wrong tail panel on the car just so it looks complete for the Pennsylvania required registration pictures. They came right back off after the pictures...

I found out that the guy who gave me the van, was not the registered owner, just the owner. So I called the registered owner, and he had the papers, and signed the transfer form and bunged it in the mail. What a swell guy. I was then able to put the van in my name, and later ordered the TUKVAN plate, and live happy ever after. Weather is preventing me from working on the Tukvan, but soon.
