There is metallic in both EV2 and EK2.I've left myself good
the solid color will allow me to paint it in pieces, and buff on a horse.......
sand, paint, cut, and buff is waaaayyyy more physical on the car.

YES! Years ago, I painted a Superbird that was EV2 and it had gold flake in it. I sprayed it so the little flake it had showed a nice sparkle. I had all the 'know it alls' at the Columbus Nats criticizing the car because it had the 'incorrect' color on it. What they didn't understand is the old enamels would fade quickly in the sun and the flake would disappear. But I saw it as I was sanding and stripping the car down. The car won various awards for the paint and detail, but that didn't matter. It's why I will never do this work for other people again.
This Valiant was a bit further down food chain, but proved your experience with EV2. My dad bought the car new in 1967. The factory color was green turquoise. It had a hint of metallic, which faded even before the car got its first full repaint after accident damage. The car was painted twice during the 11 years I drove it, and I struggled with maintaining a shine (lots of rubbing compound). Although the factory baked enamel faded quickly quickly compared to today's paints, the unbaked enamels had a tendency to oxidize from day one. Car shown in 1980, with final, two year old repaint.

If you use Irfanview (a free program to view most types of images) it'll easily convert HEIC to any other format you need.microsoft wants 99 cents to download the extension
anyway.... small batch of parts left to paint; hood and quarter vents (already stripped/ primed) hood latch support, battery tray, fender tag, and a few bolts....... black out the radiator support and tail panel and it goes home ......
this one was extensive, to say the least.
