These threads make me cringe. What is up with all this blame the liberals crap? Liberals didn't pass No Child Left Behind, Bush 2 did. It is never that simple anyway. I am on other car forums, and only this one has this silly bias towards the right. I can only guess at the reason, but stop believing everything Fox says like it's fact and do what you claim kids today can't do, ask questions, do research and think for yourself.
Our founding fathers (most republicans say they agree with them) believed religion was a personal choice, and was a big reason this county even exists. It has no place in government. You can not legislate morality or spirituality. Once you do, what happens to those with a different belief? Throw them out? Round them up and re-educate them?
BTW, a tutor teaches, tudor is a house of English royalty or a type of architecture.

One bad apple in a barrel cannot be related to humans imo. A disrupted child in a classroom can be disruptive to the whole class however. Then you have the one or more that do not care to be in class because they have other interests so they do other things as much as possible be it read car rags or something similar but other than that, they are not being disruptive to the rest of the class as they are staying quiet because they are reading car rags lol

Never did like that tactic and many of us let the teacher know it.....and that was in the 60's! We weren't mean like so many are today but we weren't angels either but if I was the cause of a teacher doing that, I 'usually' fessed up. Heck, one time I got up and told the teacher that I would take the rap and the turkey asked me if I was the one that actually did it. I just gave him a dumb look like he was crazy and well he told me to go sit down and that ended that lol

The so called liberal/soacialist agenda some bring up is BS and fueled by political nonsense. If you take the time to see what kids are learning today you will find out they are way more advanced then they were when i started grammar school which was back in the late fifties. While we might not all agree with the curriculum taught today the educational standards are much higher. The socialist or liberal agenda can be explained in children being taught tolerance and understanding the world around them. This scares people who would rather children grow up to be the spiteful bigot hypocrites there parents are. Now dont disappoint me and please RED X asap.

Educational standards are higher? Maybe in your neck of the woods - I can't tell you how many high school graduates came into my NAPA store to apply for a job and could barely read or write. I've got a nephew that graduated high school unable to read a ruler or handle fractions. They're not teaching math anymore, just give the kid a calculator. Cursive writing is on its way out. Although there is no correlation to a higher quality of education when funding to education is increased, that has been the mantra for years. Multipliers are used to give students a higher grade than they've earned. Any kid that misbehaves is judged as diseased with ADD, ADHD and given drugs because the school district receives more funding for those kids than the regular students.

As far as the liberal agenda being BS in the education system - that is BS and a total denial of what has been happening for decades. Case in point - creation can't be taught in public schools, yet time can be wasted on the unproven theory of evolution that is taught falsely as fact in an effort to break the bond of religion to those kids of the 'moral majority' which the left sees as enemies. We see the lack of morals from the left on a daily basis with their false accusations, lies, denial of facts, etc - the left feels if they can break the morals of the youth - they will abandon the teachings of their parents and clergy.

As far as being spiteful bigot hypocrites unless they're liberals and aligned with the left - the hypocrisy of the left again is on full display on a daily basis. While demanding tolerance, acceptance and diversity - none of those ideologies are acceptable to the liberal unless those parties are in complete agreement with the left. The left talks about a 'war on women' from the right - yet have absolutely no problem in attacking and damning any woman who stands up and aligns herself with the ideology of the right. Where's the tolerance and acceptance in that?

Bigoted? It was the democrats who started the KKK - voted against freedom and the right to vote for black Americans. It was the messiah of the left 'Obama' who set racial relations in this country back decades in an attempt to destroy this country. Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton and other race baiters, all aligned with the left, that have used the black community as their pawns to keep the races at odds with each other to fuel their own little kingdoms.

Tolerance and understanding does not explain why students are taught the advantages of socialism over capitalism. Unless you want to teach the truth of the failures of socialism and communism as opposed to the success of capitalism, you are not teaching, you are indoctrinating to advance an agenda, that is certainly not aligned with the ideologies of the founding fathers of this nation.

She is good in math and obviously didn't take after me. She is in a advanced class were they get first year HS algebra a year earlier. But even the average students learn math skills
When i taught welding, i also taught safe and proper use of a burning torch and covered basic fitting. Some of the new guys could not read a ruler. I drew up a small 6 inch scale just down to the 1/16ths and made sure they could figure out if i said take 5/8ths off the end of a pipe we were fitting up. That was well over 25 years ago.

We continuously "graduate" (read: release) into the world kids who can't even balance a checkbook, form coherent sentences
or even spell basic vocabulary words correctly because those skills - LIFE skills - are no longer the emphasis in schools.
Instead, we spend all manner of time programming the precious little snowflakes on what they're ENTITLED to in this world
(namely - not much unless they earn it) and that they are not responsible for themselves for the most part.

How can anyone actually disagree? Did these 4 red X guys ever look closely at what is taught in today's schools? Find me a school system that promotes strong Conservative values and I'd be impressed. The overwhelming majority of what I have seen push acceptance of condoms versus abstinence, deviant lifestyles, white guilt, minorities rights and pretty much anything but personal responsibility for your future.

We have a two party system (aside from independents) that assures or is supposed to assure we don't have a dictatorship and could add there are mounting indications which have made the USA resemble one. None of us should ever want to go there...and I'll compromise for that.
