Where can I get what you're smokin'?They look like Fords.

My brother had a ‘71 Satellite 2 door back in the 80’s. It had a back yard paint job on it with no emblems. He said a lot of people thought it was a Ford. Even though it predated it, I can see the resemblance to the ‘72 up Torinos. And Ford produced 10 times as many of them.Where can I get what you're smokin'?![]()
Anyone notice the Petty car hood bubble looks bigger?
The front valance to fender interface looks different between the cars.
That falls under "endless list"You forgot the lower bumper is pulled forward to get more air over the top.

If I'm not mistaken, 71 comes before 72Who copied who???
I can see how casual car people or non car people would confuse them. I think a car enthusiast realizes minor differences in years of the same car that would also never be seen if you didn’t specifically care to know. The shapes are similar in size and proportion, maybe easiest way to tell the difference would be which one has the hood open on the side of the roadI get "Starsky and Hutch" a few times a year.
...and I don't even have a stripe.
I don't see it.....except for the stripe, and even then it's rudimentary at best.
