Hi Everyone!

Working on my new project - 1967 Coronet R/T - 440 / Auto - have found a fuel leak coming from the filler neck when I fill the tank up to full.

Looks like it's coming from the 'outer filling vent elbow' - where it connects to the 'intermediate filling vent tube' near the filler neck.

Is there a source for these fuel filler neck hose pieces?

Has anyone had a similar problem? How did you correct it - what did you use?

I am so glad that I found this website - it's been years since I had a MOPAR! Back in the hot rod days - about 30 some years ago - I had several B bodies - '68 Coronet R/T - '69 Road Runner - '69 GTX - '70 Road Runner and a '70 Cuda - all with either 440's or 383's. Those were the days!

Started looking for a 'hot rod' - really was looking for an old Ford coupe - but ran across this R/T instead and so I'm back in the fold!

Ran across a great thread concerning starting problems for a similar car and used that to run down the problem - apparently the starter relay - now it's firing right up as it should.

Thank you all for your support and assistance! I'll post some pictures of this beast in the near future. I sent gunslinger a note - his R/T is what mine should look like - same color - etc. His gives me something to shoot for and motivation to keep at it!

Found the replacement parts from Atlas Obsolete Chrysler Parts - but it's $148.00 for the kit - which is about 3 pcs of hose, couple of gaskets/grommets and several clamps. Most of the 18 piece kit is the clamps - so that's pretty high for those - but that will fix the gas leak. Hopefully, by the time those come in, I'll have found my lighter so I can see under there....:nono:

I may order that kit, if I can't find those parts a little more reasonable in price - we'll see.

Found the elbow on the jimsautoparts website - for $29.95 for the elbow with clamps - will be ordering that tomorrow!

Hey brother I love your car. Wonder of to the welcome Wagon and tell your story and post up some pics of your ride.

Can't help you on the parts you need but hopefully someone can. That sounds expensive.

From south of you :)
