Live from Georgia!

I'm catching the bug watching. C'mon spring!

Any racers been where the newer blue staging lights are being used?

No Mopar body's, but plenty of Hemi power.

I just dig the door cars go that fast!Lasy year 3 of the winners were from Long Island and I knew them.I caught Chin qualifying #1,I see him alot at the summer hang outs.

Alex Laughlin for the win. Hemi powered Corvette.
Doug

Jeff Chin won the 2nd chance running in the 3's.
If you were watching it was a rd 69 camaro with a large Yellow Bullet logo on the door.I am still amazed how fast these door cars are going!!

It is awesome what these guys can run. Hats off to them. Not sure how or where they all get the budget to race, blow up, crash and still be back out within weeks. I have been building mine for 10 years plus. 200 MPH is fast period. 200 in the 1/4 is flying. 200+ even in the 1/8 is just insanely fast.

I remember a few years back i watched Dwayne Mills car live. Like 4.0@200+ it was amazing. I love watching these things. Wish there was a bigger variety of body styles. Make no mistake they are very trick under the skin. BIG POWER. Some over 5000 at the wheels.

The bump was 3.95:realcrazy: Can you imagine???? These door cars are more entertaining than Pro Stock!!!:bananadance:
A Real NHRA Pro-Stock N/A cars (no power adders) are solid/consistent
1/8th mile 4.0-4.15 cars with 500cid max, even when they had carbs
they all have a 3rd peddle, none of them had torque converters
or drivers aides, either

too bad the NHRA has their heads up their collective a$$es

I like most of the new door car classes/outlaw stuff
reminds me of the old Pro-Gas, 70's & 80's
some really capable cars, some are real hi-$$$ cars too
almost none are N/A, many are 630+ cid & some are 900cid +
most are either N20, roots blown, centrifugal SC
or Twin blow-dryers or a huge single is popular now too
almost all of them are drivers aided, computer tuned/controlled

It's the new crowd pleaser show

people go to races to see a show

it's not a reg. shadetree/car dude class either
far more expensive & sophisticated than that !!!
well for the competitive guys anyway...

not, the bracket racers, kill all the power as soon as they launch,
then come back on some 150' out, with every electronic & drivers aide/device available
(so are most/some these outlaw door classes, but all out, not killing the power)
"Yawn" Super series sandbaggers, bracket racing stuff

carry on just adding my $0.02 cents
