One of the oldest, and "largest" resemblances of a "city" in my neck of the woods is Covington, LA.
In "downtown" Covington, the last Friday of the month is the Columbia Street Block Party. A wide variety of cars, mostly classic muscle. Runs from March through October, and the October party has a Halloween theme, so LOTS of families with children.
Overall a great event, and an opportunity to show off and meet an unusually large percentage of people who don't have muscle cars but appreciate them. Live music on the sidewalks with street musicians and bands at a couple of the great bars that line the street.
Cars arrive from 3pm to about 5pm, and at 5:30 all of the cars move to angle parking, and the show runs through 10pm.

Great looking event and wow, the turnout! It gets wall to wall sometimes, eh?
Thanks for sharing and for heavens' sake, get some sidewall in those tires! :)

Damn, that's awesome. With a turnout like that you'd think that they were giving away $100 dollar bills. Car looks great Steve!!!

Thanks for all the nice comments.
get some sidewall in those tires! :)
I am going to look for a bias ply, taller sidewall tire for track duty, because even though these Toyo Proxes TQ drag radials are about 11" wide, I still have traction problems. I still have to get my line lock installed too.
They have been the only tire on the rear wheels since I first got them and that was October 2016. Never a problem with the TQ Drag radials in the occasional rain, and I'll never go back to Nitto 555 Drag radials. I had the Nitto 555s on my Conquest TSi and they put me in the grass between lanes on the interstate when I got caught in some rain. (At least it wasn't the trees on the other side).
I think there's a 345/45/17 tire that I can try. The rear TQ drag radials on the 9" Year One aluminum Rallye wheels are 315/35/17 and fit great.
