Looking 383 6 Pack, or Dual Quad Set Up

You can get all the 383/400 Low-deck BB 6bbl set up from Mancini Racing & Summit Racing, it's about near $2500 for everything new, 2 outboard 2300 Holley 500cfm Vacuum carbs, center 2300 Holley 350cfm carb, intake manifold, choke stove, fuel lines, valley pan/gaskets, vacuum hoses, coil mount, 6bbl air-cleaner & element, throttle cable & linkages, fuel filter, nuts bolts, throttle solenoid, wiring etc... it adds up pretty damn fast, you maybe able to find the 2300 Holley 6bbl carbs used "a little cheaper", but they will need work probably, they always do... The 2 x 4bbl set up maybe cheaper, in the long run, just because "one less carb" & the dual Edelbrock 550cfm carbs or the 390cfm or 600cfm Holleys, are usually far less money also...... I prefer the 6bbl set upmyself, but the 2x4bbl is damn cool too...

Thanks Guys... I can put together a sweet set of 500 AVS with intake and cleaner for a grand. My issue is the intake is a single plane OFFY the 6 pack intake is dual plane and 1400 more.. I'm stuggling with...... is the dual plane and the 6 pack WOW worth the 1400 more.. If I have clean answer that it was I would go 6 pack.. I've heard from members they had work getting the 600's to lean out enough. But I've heard from Guys that the dual 500's scream ... I'm open for any and all advice

Thanks

yea..I had to work to get the pair of 625's leaned out enough to work in my 66 Charger I still have....

Bryan

If you interested I have a low block 383 factory dual quad intake I would sell.

It's an inline two four intake. They made them in the late fifties.

I've got an edelbrock STR 15/8 crossram for sale for a 383 with linkages if interested.

Wow that would be sick on my Roadrunner.. I didn't know they made a crossram to fit a low block... So your in Australia

Sure am... not sure if it fits those heads or not. Someone should be able to confirm it for you. They stopped making the STRs in the 70's I think. PM me if you want to know more. cheers Matt

Racing junk .com has a Weiand tunnel ram on page 12 of carbs and intakes section for $150

Thanks Tunnel Ram looks great but not what I'm looking for Happy New Year

I have a Edelbrock STR 15 dual 4bbl inline for $1000
