Looking at this 72 Charger. He's asking $3000 but less without the tires and wheels. Here are the details:
""360 automatic car (originally 318). Needs a lot but it’s savable. Bought it last year not running and got it running with a new starter and some fuel, but fuel tank is junk. Certainly needs a carb rebuild and a fuel tank but it’ll run enough to get on a trailer. Body rust in typical spots, started buying some metal (rockers, DS floor pan) but not everything. Originally had front drums but converted to disc and rebuilt front end at same time. Needs front seats and carpet. Asking 3000 but I’m reasonable. Would sell for less on some crappy roller wheels, the tires on it are basically brand new."" He also sent videos of the car showing the bad spots which weren't all that bad. What do you guys think? It seems worth the money to me. We have a 74 at home. Going to build a 440 we might put in either one. TIA

Here is what I got from the fender tag. Is it correct?

I think if you're gonna own one this is what you're gonna have to spend in my opinion. It looks like good bones and if you're not traveling super far to get it I'd go for it if I was in the market for one.

That right inner fender is fubarred. Either took a bad hit on the right side or rust problems. Other than that, you can't expect much for $3k these days.

I once opened a Gorgeous 72 Charger Brougham, beautiful car, 400 CI, AC, Auto
Love them!
Good luck!

$3k seem quite fair to me depending on rust extent. Black interior is easy to match with used parts. Original TB3 is a cool color. As long as the frame sections and cowl are solid, I'd say go for it.

Carefully check the cowl vent area and the door hinge area.

That's the third time this week I've seen the "super rare" Satellite Sun Dance interior.

I think it's worth $3K, especially if you like the "fuselage" body style. If the front-end rebuild and brakes are good, you can probably make it a pretty decent driver for less than another grand. You'll probably need a carb, a tank, fuel lines and a battery.

Don't get much for 3k these days. If its as solid as it looks buy it if you like it.

Fenders for these are hard to find.
Man, I know but I found a guy in *&^%@!#+@ that has both fenders. Head liner in good shape, front bucket seats (that need to be recovered) front and back bumper for the 74. And a few other parts. He's not asking much for them. Christmas in June! Not too many folks down here repairing the older Mopars.

Now sure if you pulled the trigger yet on this but check the frame rails, and torsion cross member for rot.

We brought the car home a couple of days ago and I crawled all over it again and the only corrosion issues are in the sheet metal. Everything else is solid. I was able to get him down to 26 with the new rims and tires. I think we made a pretty good deal. There were a couple of surprises too. Crome alternator, spare aftermarket gauges, floor pan and grills in very good shape. Fuel cell also.

I think it's cool....if it's relatively rust free. If I bought it, I would clean up the interior with new carpet, seats, headliner, dash, and door cards, clean and paint the engine bay, new brakes, new suspension. Leave the exterior just like it is. Kind of like Roadkill's General Mayhem!

Seems like a good deal. Congrats!

I think you did fine. This sold on a auction last week near me. Check out the roof tin on the passenger floor pan.
