Here is an example of what I am looking for. It is a non padded version. From what I learned early '68 had a padded front and later 68 didn't. My '68 doesn't had padding best I can tell. I have one from a '69 and it appears to be the same and non-padded. These are all non-rally dashes. I do have an "insert" that is serviceable.

    thanks
    Brian

It's not just that one has a padded front...the padded version "slides" down to open. The non-padded version flips out / down to open. Luckily for you they are much more common.
    Good luck!

Looks like yours would be ok once it is blasted? Or is it bent?

The front of the ash tray is swiss cheese after laying on the floor of the car for a couple of decades. What is pictured earlier in the thread is not mine.

I see. I have one that you can have if you are near me in nw WI. It's not pretty, but I think useable with a blast and paint job. It's the same as what is in both my 69 Bee and 69 RR. I'll get some pics later.

@rakort your inbox is full. Looks kind of nasty, but I think a sandblast would do wonders for it.

Ohh, I'm loving it! The "tray" I'd replace if necessary, but the uber critical part I need is the "face plate" and know which is not available as a re-pop.

thanks for the offer and I'll get me PM box cleaned out and we will work out the deets.....thought I cleaned it out already!

Where in NW WI are you? I'm on the road heading west Sat AM

Just tried sending you a pm. Still a no go. I am 100 miles straight east of the Twin Cities.
