Just ran across the window sticker, owner's manual, certicard and other stuff from the '68 RR he bought new in May of 1968 in South Bend Indiana. Would love to find and try to purchase. My wife still has his '68 Barracuda FB (also GG1) and the Runner would just be too cool a bookend for it.

RM23H8G233047
2dr hardtop
GG1 Racing Green
black interior
auto trans, 3.55 SG

His wife loved to drive it and told stories of going to the store with the car and having to show the young punk kids in their Chevys the true word!

Believe it was sold either in northern or central Indiana.

I know it's a very long shot, but I hold out hope.

Thanks, Victor in Kingman/Mesa AZ

You have better information as a starting point than many requests appearing on this forum. I wish you the best in your search.

I've connected with two cars from back in the day, one of which I currently own. Both came from personal networking. I found the owner of one of them at the Chrysler Nationals in Carlisle by talking to every GTX owner I could find. Finally bought the car four years ago, after two decades of negotiation.

The other came to me on its own. Current owner called the guy who had sold it to me years ago. We connected, and a year later, he sold me the car. I wasn't actively looking for it.

I've repeatedly posted here looking for two others. I have VIN numbers and 20 years of early history for both, but neither has surfaced. One of the wrinkles in these searches is that really good cars tend to go into deep cover. My current one was off the radar for four decades in private hands, with only two owners. I'm assuming this is what happened to the two I haven't been able to find.

I have original paperwork I have hoped to reunite with one of them, but putting that information out here hasn't drawn a response.

I am trying to improve the quality of my free fender tag decoder and would love to see a pic of the window sticker, as well as the Production Broadcast and even the fender tag of this car if there is a picture of it. Pricing and all details of the window sticker are very informative and valued. Any pieces of the paperwork thaat describes the fender tag would be most helpful. And, to other readers, please let me know if you have a set of matching data for any pre-69 Barracuda. I do have one such window sticker I found (here?) recently. Best wishes on finding the car.
