Anybody have any luck with the inexpensive 22" radiators ? 64 440 Polara with a 318 poly 727. I have a 440 to go in , but need to drive the poly while I finish up a truck project. Looking at this one on Amazon for $200 . Will recore the stock one when the BB goes in but need a runner by next week.

For a 318 it should be just fine. 3 rows aren't necessarily better though. If you can find a 2 row w 1" each row core, that would actually cool better. But for $200 on a 318 in Florida, should be just fine.

It seems like $200 is high, but I'm liv'in in the past. Re-coring may be difficult, hardly any radiator shops in my area due to the regs. Good luck.

Well the fix worked better then I expected. New. Water pump(stock), thermostat 180'F, upper and lower hoses with anti collapse springs inside, el cheapo Amazon radiator, 16" black horse electric 16" fan (Amazon) kit, 3" universal cowling. Car already had a flex fan. Running 100% water with a track approved water wetter/anti corrosion additive. It was 94 ' F today. Ran it at idle for 45 min. No leaks electric fan never came on stuck at 185'F. Took out for a shake down. 45 minute traffic stop light to stop light with heavy foot. Fan cycled at a couple stop lights never went over 190'f. Out east country 40-90 mph with some burnouts. Never heard the fan. It is a WIN!

Been running a single row aluminum with 1 1/4 tubes (might be 1 1/2"....can never remember) for years on my problematic V6 Dakota with the stock factory rad with AC in traffic with the AC on full in 100 degree weather and it never runs hot anymore! The factory rad was a 2 core with 1/2" tubes irrc. Even when it was only 3 years old it had overheating problems with the original stuff. It didn't run too hot back then but it got worse over the years no matter how many times I flushed it etc.

Where did you get the fan shroud? Any part numbers? Thanks!

Good to know since original rads are getting tougher to find.
