Machine shops: What is an average turnaround time?

Turn around time on an easy one, like a Bore and Crank turning on a stock Small Block Chevy about 2 weeks. All that stuff on a 440 HP race motor, 2 months is probably reasonable. Just my opinion. (I use a great machine shop with a great owner that always fits me in somewhere.)

Don't know if anyone has mentioned this but one thing you never tell anyone working on your stuff is "I'm not in a hurry" especially a machinist lol

Yeah...I am learning that the hard way.
I try to take the pressure off when I have stuff done but screw that. It sure seems to give these guys a valid excuse to put me at the back of the line.
