Did anyone see the Monterey CA Mecum auction? They had a 1969 (not 1/2) Roadrunner 440 6 BBL sell for $135,000! It wasn't even the original 440 6 BBL. I thought prices were declining but this is crazy. Is this where prices are going or was this a fluke?

I guess it all depends, the right buyer for the right car. What I can't understand is, any kind of money for the late 70's cars, especially the GM F body camaro & firebird, they were garbage then and garbage now.

you know the saying "a sucker's born every minute."

Must be the color, or the TTI headers, or the A12 air filter housing, or someone was "awed" that it was in a magazine.

Lots of times it's "Who's dick is bigger" sale.
I was amazed at B-J a 57 4 door Chevy old school custom with flames and baby moons went for $115,000 ???
I saw nothing special about the car but if 2 people are bidding.....

A wise man told me, "There is an a$$ for every saddle." .
